So, it’s October now. I still dont have a permenant job and life isn’t too terribly exciting at the moment so i dont have much to share with y’all, except lots of knitting. So I thought I’d do some posts over the next week or two (as I get time) in which I share my FOs since the last post.
Today’s FO is my Swallowtail Shawl, which I finished back in July.

Pattern: Swallowtail Shawl (rav link)
Designer: Evelyn A. Clark
Yarn: Lanart Superfine
Yardage: 420

I made this while in a more severe state of unemployment (i.e. no work at all), thus it didn’t take me very long. It was my first time knitting nupps, and I found them to be quite easy. I really enjoyed working with this yarn, which is 100% alpaca laceweight. I still have a ball and a half left over in my stash, so i need to find something to do with it. I don’t know if I would make this pattern again as I found the body lace portion kind of tedious. I much preferred the edging lace, so if I did knit it again, i’d probably do a stockinette body and the lace edging. I wear this shawl frequently and get lots of complements on it. It’s also been good for the cold London mornings this fall. Overall, I am very happy with this knit.
